Frederick Lauritzen co-founded Kallipolis.co.uk, a cultural and political consultancy in 2022.  He was born and raised in Venice. Read Greats at New College, Oxford (1996-2000, BA, MA) and obtained a doctorate in Classics from Columbia University in New York (2000-2005 MA, Mphil, PhD) with a thesis on Byzantine Literature (published in 2013). From 2008 to 2014 he was a postdoctoral researcher in Bologna. Since 2017 he is historian at the Scuola Grande di San Marco in Venice.

He is on the advisory board of the Together UK Foundation.
